The Gamin Nuvi 260 is a very compact unit (2.8" tall, 3.8" wide, and .8" deep) and the screen is 3.5" diagonally with large easy to read text and maps - meaning us old folks can see the directions from more than one foot away. Because it is so small and compact, it can fit easily in my pocket or my wife's purse making it perfect for moving from car to RV and back. We also bought a small carrying case to help protect the unit, store the extras, and make it easily transportable.
In addition to being small and easy to read, the text-to-speech feature that announces the distance to your next turn and other information is clear, understandable, and loud enough (even with the windows open) that it doesn't require me to turn on the hearing aid. Plus, the Garmin Nuvi 260 includes a simple and easy to understand getting-started manual that isn't 200 pages long and filled with jargon that only a teenager would understand. And the touch-screen interface makes it easy to get different views of the map, find a point of interest, look up a business and get directions, and much more.
