If you are looking for a fun golfing vacation, then you need to call La Cantera Resort & Spa. Situated on some of the prettiest rolling hills just north of San Antonio, La Cantera Resort & Spa offers 36 holes of the most scenic and majestic views in Texas, dramatic elevation changes, lush rolling fairways, plenty of beautiful landscaping, near perfect greens, and excellent service. The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa is the perfect place for a family vacation, a golf outing, a romantic getaway, or just a fun weekend. The rooms are nicely appointed but nothing special - what separates the Hyatt from other resorts are a wide variety of activities and lots of kids activities (a very cool 950 foot rambling river, playground, free bikes to ride, kids games, sandy beach, scheduled activities, and more) and nearby Sea World and Fiesta Texas. Some of what we enjoy about the Hyatt include; 27 holes of some of some of the best golf in Texas -read reviews of Hyatt Regency Creeks Course, Lakes Course, and Oaks Courses; short nature trail; fun and lively bar; very good dining choices and fantastic poolside nachos; two of the best resort pools; table tennis as well as tennis courts; volleyball; free bike usage; excellent service and attention to detail; and one of the best Spas in Texas - can't get much better than all that! And you're only 20 minutes or so away from downtown San Antonio, more excellent golf courses, and some fun and lively bars and restaurants. With over 400 acres, the Hyatt is situated along the banks of the Colorado River and adjacent to the 1100 acre McKinney Roughs Nature Park and about 10 minutes from the Austin Airport and Bastrop. Some of the recreational activities include: an outstanding 18 hole championship golf course; two tennis courts; hiking, biking, and jogging paths; horseback ridding; pool and lazy river; disc golf; canoeing, kayaking, and rafting; and much more.
