Ok, so it's not in Texas but it is still well worth crossing the border to this great resort sitting on a bluff overlooking Toledo Bend Lake. Cypress Bend has a spa, indoor/outdoor pool, good food, a challenging bike and hiking trail, great service, and an outstanding golf course that is a must play. For lodging you can choose between the Golf Villas (one or two bedroom with a living area and a fully equipped kitchen - perfect to fry all the fish you're going to catch - or the hotel rooms next to the lobby and overlooking the golf course and lake. If you're looking for a place for a wedding, reunion, or corporate meeting, Cypress Bend is perfect for all three. There is an outdoor pavilion, an 82 seat state of the art amphitheater, and over 11,000 square feet of meeting or special event space. They can also set up special events like a fishing or golf tournament as well as handle all the catering or other special requests. |

Located on one of the best fishing coves on Toledo Bend Lake, Fin & Feather Resort is ideal for a weekend escape or weeklong vacation. They offer a variety of choices for accommodations - full hookup RV sites, one and two bedroom triplexes with a full kitchen, hotel type rooms, and one and two bedroom park models - all at reasonable rates. Most of the comfortable cabins have an excellent view of Toledo Bend Lake. Some of the Fin & Feather amenities include: a great restaurant with a sports bar atmosphere (pool tables, TVs, shuffleboard) and an outside deck overlooking the lake; swimming pool and hot tub; lighted and covered fishing pier as well as a fish cleaning station; multi-lane boat ramp and overnight boat slips; pontoon boat rentals for guests; a playground and a game room; and a small store with staples and lots of fishing gear and bait. The open air lakefront pavilion is great for fishing tournaments, weddings, or business meetings. And the convention center is great for special events for 25 to 300 guests. |
