The Midland-Odessa area is a good place to spend some time or a vacation and between the two cities you'll find lots of fun things to see and do. In the Midland-Odessa area you'll find several museums, some good golf courses to play, several fun festivals and annual events, parks for picnics and sports, arts and theater, nature parks, nightlife and honky tonks, and more.

In the past, the cities of Midland and Odessa experienced a rivalry of bitter competition and political intrigue. Since the early 1990s, the nature of the rivalry has changed into one of friendly competition and economic cooperation. The Midland–Odessa area today is marketed as "Two Cities, no Limits."
