Jazz Festival 2009

As summer approaches, San Antonio is set to heat up with its annual San Antonio Summer Art & Jazz Festival. Held from June 5th through 7th at Crockett Park, the San Antonio Summer Art & Jazz Festival features ten jazz concerts, an arts and crafts fair, and numerous options for enjoying Texas cuisine. Additionally, two free jazz workshops will be held during the festival, with both workshops geared towards burgeoning musicians in middle and high school.

Those looking to beat the heat of summer while attending the San Antonio Summer Art & Jazz Festival will want to look into Splashtown Waterpark. Opening on May 16, the park should be running at full capacity by the time of the Art & Jazz Festival, and features a cool contrast to the hot sounds of the festival. Throughout 20 acres, guests will find more than 50 attractions ranging from a wave pool and lazy river to Kid’s Kove, an area with activities designed specifically for children, and numerous thrilling slide and tube rides.
