Set in the rugged Sonoran Desert and surrounded by the stunning McDowell Mountains it’s a unique opportunity to experience the standards of quality and service normally reserved for the pros. TPC Champions Course Scottsdale, AZ Texas Outside Rating 9.0 |
Of the two 18s at TPC Scottsdale, the Stadium course is better known and seems to be more forgiving and in much better condition then the TPC Champions Course, which we thoroughly enjoyed played and rated close to the Stadium Course. The Champions course is fun, has a true desert feel to it, and is more challenging and unique. The 7115 yard par 71 Champions course meanders over natural ravines and picturesque foothills with five par-3’s and a diverse variety of par-4’s and par-5’s to thrill golfers of all skill levels. |

The Boulders Club is nestled in the tranquil beauty of the high Sonoran desert and 12-million year old granite boulder formations that dot the landscape. Its two 18-hole championship golf courses have made this desert hideaway a repeated winner of Golf Magazine’s Gold Medal Award. & one of only 5 Resorts awarded the Gold Medal every year since its inception in 1988. Both courses are built right into the desert foothills and offer breathtaking panoramas - including stunning boulder formations. |

Troon North Monument Course Scottsdale, CA |
The Monument course has been named #4 in Arizona and #44 in the nation. You will find lots of variety, plenty of challenges, beautiful scenery, and a little bit of everything that makes playing golf fun - dog legs, ups and downs, blind shots, huge traps, well protected greens, a couple risk reward opportunities, and beautiful desert scenery. The fairways on The Monument Course are wide and forgiving and sculptured with berms, mounds, and lots of natural areas waiting to catch your ball. |

Troon North Pinnacle Course Scottsdale, CA |
Troon North is very close to being one of the best courses that we have played. Golf Magazine raters have spoken by naming the Pinnacle Course #1 in Arizona and #21 in the nation. The layout is fantastic and leverages the natural desert environment with cactus of all shapes and sizes, plenty of wildlife, huge and magnificent homes, and some of the best scenery around. This is a must play golf course if you're in the Scottsdale area. What a blast to play! |

The Acacia Course is very scenic, challenging but fair, lots of fun to play, offers plenty of variety, and was in near perfect condition. This nine at Kierland Golf Club is unique with 3 par 3s, 3 par 4s, and 3 par 5s, elevation changes (elevated tee boxes and uphill greens are very unusual for a course in the flat desert), some outstanding holes none of which are similar, and a beautiful lake leading up to the Westin Resort. The last three holes are some of the best finishing holes we have ever played. |

The Mesquite 9 at Kierland is a fairly straight forward and traditional layout. It is very scenic with views of the mountains, colorful dessert fauna, and great landscaping. The fairways are wide and forgiving and lined with tall mounds that typically force your errant ball back into the fairway. The forced carries over the natural areas from the tee box are manageable but where you'll find trouble is with some of the swales and collection areas off the turtle back greens, most of which are protected with a number of large and steep faced bunkers. |

Kierland Ironwood Course Scottsdale, AZ Texas Outside Rating 8.1 |
When you play Kierland's Ironwood Course, you'll find near perfect conditions, manageable desert carries, elevation changes, wide forgiving fairways, dog legs, and over 300 bunkers, plus lakes, dry desert washes, strands of desert trees and natural desert areas. The Ironwood fairways are lined with lots of mounds, trees, desert fauna, and gently rolling terrain. The greens are large with slope and some undulation. You'll have a fun and enjoyable round here. |

Grayhawk's Raptor Course Scottsdale, AZ Texas Outside Rating 9.0 Grayhawk's Raptor Course Review
|
Grayhawk's Raptor Course offers unique challenges as it winds through spectacular Sonoran Desert scenery. A few notable accolades garnered by Grayhawk's Talon and Raptor courses over the years include: Golf Magazine's “Top 100 You Can Play in the U.S.” and Golf Digest's “Top 10 in Arizona that You Can Play.” Raptor is wider off the fairways but tougher due to length, more steep and deep fairway and green-side bunkers, and tougher greens with lots of slope and undulation. |

Grayhawk's Talon Course Scottsdale, AZ Texas Outside Rating 9.0 Grayhawk's Talon Course Review
|
The Talon Course provides breathtaking views of the nearby McDowell Mountains. It's true beauty lies in the way the golf course blends with its natural surroundings. The back nine of the golf course was built around a series of deep box canyons and many holes skirt thick stands of Mesquite, Palo Verde and Ironwood trees with numerous species of native flowering plants dotting the surrounding areas. Most of the greens are quite large and they are multi-tiered which effectively reduces their size |
