We're on our 5th motorhome since 1976 and we still love camping with friends and family - it just doesn't get much better than hiking, biking, cooking outside, s'moores, singing and games around the campfire, and enjoying a lake campsite or one along the Guadalupe River on a weekend camping trip. Texas has over 100 State Parks and hundreds of private RV parks (some of which are likes resorts with pools, zip lines, horseshoes, boat rentals, restaurants, cantinas with live music, and more) - we've rated a lot of both on their scenic beauty, campsites, things to do, amenities, and park conditions. As much as we love camping, occasionally it's hard to beat a weekend enjoying some gourmet cuisine, a "heavenly bed," lazy rivers, live music in the bar, and other resort amenities like golf courses, pools, spas, games, and more. Our goal is to review every major resort in Texas and several outside of Texas, here's what we've got so far:
