Texas Vacations and Vacation Spots

Rafting down the Rio Grande River

Big Bend Trip - wow, what a fun 14 day vacation to and from Big Bend National Park. We golfed our way out to Big Bend, hiked on several trails with spectacular views, biked in Big Bend State Park, hung out with some real characters in Terlingua, enjoyed Lajitas Resort and Spa, had a thrilling and very scenic raft trip down the Rio Grande River and through the sheer bluffs of Santa Elena Canyon, explored the Caverns of Sonora, and linked up with our family for three days on a house boat on Lake Amistad, and finally played some more golf on the way home. Fun trip!

Christmas & New Year's Vacation - it was wet, windy, and cold but we still found a way to have some fun in Dallas, South Padre Island, the Rio Grande Valley, and Laredo! We golfed, rode bikes, went in search of the best beach bar margarita, played FootGolf, bowled, went to a couple movies and two museums, visited the turtles, went to an indoor water park when it was raining and 35 degrees outside, stayed in some great RV Parks, rode go carts, plus ate and drank to much!
Pirate Ship in Port A
Port Aransas Thanksgiving Vacation - for several years now we've gathered family and friends and headed to Port Aransas for games on the beach (football, kickball, frisbees, bocce ball, kite flying), bar hopping, golfing at one of the best courses in Texas, biking riding, fishing in the bays, dining at lots of good restaurants, and lots of other fun stuff including typically devouring two fried turkeys and honey baked ham. The weather is usually warm, the locals are friendly, and it's not real crowded!
Dolphins in South Padre Island
South Padre Island Vacation - we had a blast riding horses on the beach, taking a pirate ship cruise, enjoying lots of good food and beach bars, parasailing, checking out the injured turtles, watching the dolphins frolic in the bay, camping, a fast boat ride, a sunset sail, fireworks, and more - I'm tired just thinking about all of that!

One of the entertaining performers at SeaWorld San Antonio
Spring Break Vacation - during this spring break vacation, we stayed in San Antonio, Hunt, and Kerrville. Some of the activities included: camping; SeaWorld in San Antonio; two music concerts, one with Pat Green and Cory Morrow and the other with Thomas Michael Riley in Luckenback; lots of good restaurants and too many margaritas; wine, food, and music in Fredericksburg; and three days at Mo Ranch enjoying all the fun and thrilling amenities that they have to offer.

Texas Hill Country Vacation - several days touring the Hill County and golfin', singin', campin', tubin', dancin', partyin', boatin', and lots more fun things in the best part of Texas.

Biking in Port Aransas
Thanksgiving on the Gulf Coast - how can you beat a fun time with family and friends biking, fishing, spending time on the beach playing games, frying turkeys, bar hopping, riding golf carts, lots of games and laughs, and more in Rockport, Fulton, and Port A

Black Jacks Crossing in Lajitas
West Texas & Big Bend Adventure - three days golfing our way to Big Bend to go on an ATV tour, take several hikes in Big Bend National Park, stay in an upscale resort with fantastic amenities and a unique B&B in a recreated old western town, take an off road 4x4 tour, attend a two day fantastic music festival, and golf our way back to Dallas
