Port Aransas, Texas

Port Aransas, also known as Port A has a population of 3,370 and is on Mustang Island. Port Aransas is reached by a 24 hour free ferry or a causeway at the south end of the island. Port A was settled in 1855 and quickly developed into a fishing village, which it is best known for today. As one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Gulf Coast, the population swells by thousands as visitors come to fish, bird watch, enjoy the many restaurants and nightclubs, and to get some beach time.
