Brief Overview: This park is owned by the Jim and his son David Rowley two of the nicest and friendliest people you can ever expect to meet and they are dedicated to making sure that your visit at Pecan Park is enjoyable and memorable. They have recently made a number of improvements to Pecan Park, with lots more to come. Amenities and Fun Things To Do: One of the advantages of Pecan Park is all the other amenities and things to do in the Park, some of which include: indoor heated pool; ladder golf (a very fun and easy game the whole family will love); basketball court; 9 hole disc golf course; activity center with jukebox, book exchange, pinball, stove and sink, and TV; 70 TV channels; free wireless; laundry room; clean restrooms; and hot showers. Pecan Park provides easy access to the San Marcos River which is one of the most scenic and popular recreational rivers in Texas. The crystal clear San Marcos River is excellent for swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, or fishing. There are plans to improve the trail along the river, add better access to the water, build a dock , and other improvements. You can rent canoes or kayaks from TG Canoe Livery which is on the property. A Typical Texas Outsider Day: We love the San Marcos river and all it has to offer, which means we'll spend most of the day tubing, swimming, and enjoying the river. There are plenty of places to rent tubes, canoes, or kayaks. For a list of nearby tube rentals go the the Tubing Section of Texas Outside or check out this site for info on the San Marcos river. Pecan Park has easy access to the river for swimming or fishing. We are also big fans of disc golf and we love ladder golf, both of which are available at Pecan Park. We own two sets of ladder golf which travel with us and get used on every trip and provide hours of fun - you can buy your own set here) It's hard for the shoppers to pass up the opportunity to visit the 3rd Best Place to Shop in the world - Prime Outlets - as seen on ABC's "The View". While some of the party are shoping, you can take advantage of plenty of great golf courses within 30 miles. You can easily find them using the Texas Outside Golf Locator Map for either San Marcos or Central Texas. One of our favorites is The Bandit. We will usually head over to the San Marcos Square for restaurants and nightlife at some fun and lively spots.

Pecan Park has 100 sites with a mixture of back-in and pull throughs and the majority of the sites are beneath the pecan trees. Each site is level, fairly spacious, and has: an 8' by 20' concrete patio; 20,30, or 50 amp service; sewer; picnic tables; and water. The owners are planning on building some cabins in the park in 2007.
