Sandy Lake Mobile Home & RV Resort is a perfect place to stay if you want to explore the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex or if you're looking for a rest stop on you way north or south on 35 east. The Resort is located between Dallas and Fort Worth and has easy access to freeways going in all directions.
The RV sites that are open for daily use at Sandy Lake Resort are currently side-by-side pull through sites with little to no space and include: water, 30 and 50 amp electric. Hook-ups are conveniently located near the rear of the site. All of the sites are level pull-throughs but maneuvering a big rig into a site may be somewhat challenging. Most of the sites are shaded.
Some of the amenities at Sandy Lake include:
Sandy Lake is dated, the sites are cramped, and the Park is primarily for full-timers and mobile homes. However, if you can overlook all of that, Sandy Lake is an excellent place to park the rig, explore the area or visit friends and relatives, and spend the night. It is very convenient to lots of things to see and do.
As mentioned earlier, we would stay here if we wanted easy and close access to explore the metroplex. From Sandy Lake you can be in downtown Dallas in 10 minutes (with no traffic) or Fort Worth in 20 minutes! We love to golf, bike, hit some bars with music, enjoy some local restaurants, and boat and you'll find plenty of choices for all of these activities and more nearby.
