Texas Log Cabin has a limited number of RV sites with 50/30/20 amp electricity and water. Most of the sites are level with rock driveways and a limited amount of grass. They have tent camping in the back 50 acres. On site is a B&B that sleeps 8 and a travel trailer for rent.
Some of the other amenities include: dump station, horseshoe pit, pool table, pinball machine, laundry, and fire pit for socializing.
We stayed here because we were spending some time at First Monday Trade Days and golfing at Van Zandt Country Club and Twin Lakes Golf Course. The only activity within the park is a horseshoe pit.
Canton is 6 miles to the north and is noted for "First Monday Trade Days" which is over 3000 vendors displaying their wares for 4 days. It's been said that "if you can't find it at Trade Days, it doesn't exist". You can visit the First Monday of Canton Website to learn more about Trade Days.
While the shoppers are shopping, you golfers should head 5 miles south to Twin Lakes to play an outstanding golf course. You can read the Twin Lakes Review and find other golf courses in the Golf Section of Texas Outside.
Texas Outside uses a tough rating scale and it’s difficult for a campground to get a “10”. Each park is rated on:
