Peninsula CondominiumsThe Links & Racquet Club Condominiums at The Peninsula

Located within The Peninsula golf community are the Links & Racquet Club Condominiums at The Peninsula, which have an excellent golf stay and play package and fantastic golf stay and play lodging options. The Peninsula is an upscale gated Gulf Shores golfing community with 27 holes of championship golf, the area's premier racquet and fitness club, a wide variety of elegant homes, plus the golf stay and play condominiums. If you're coming to Gulf Shores for a golfing or family vacation the Peninsula Condominiums are perfect for a golf stay and play or family vacation lodging - they are within a good tee shotCondominum entrance of the Pro Shop, have access to some great amenities to enjoy, are convenient to several other golf courses and lots of fun things to see and do, and they offer excellent lodging options.

During a golfing vacation to Gulf Shores, we stayed in a three bedroom three bath condo in the Golfing Villas section of The Peninsula Condominiums. Our unit was on the second story and when we opened the door and ascended the stairs to a tiled entry that lead into a large island style kitchen, dining, and living area with high ceilings with crown molding our jaws dropped and out came a bunch of "Wows!" Our condo was large, well done, and impressive! Each of the rental condominiums are privately owned and our unit was very well decorated and appointed with everything we needed for a couple fun days of golfing and exploring Gulf Shores.

Some of what we liked in our condo at The Peninsula included:

  • Master Bedroom & Bath - when we saw the master bedroom, we immediately dropped our bags and claimed it as ours - it was Master bedroom at the Peninsula Condominiumshuge with a walk-in closet big enough to hold the clothes for a family of four, a very comfortable king bed with matching end tables and lamps, a 5 drawer dresser with mirror, an armoire with TV and a lingerie dresser with 6 drawers, a small upholstered chair and ottoman, and a door to the balcony overlooking one of the golf course holes - all of the furniture was white giving our room an island and vacation feel. The master bath was also huge with 2 sinks, a vanity area, deep tub, and separate shower. A shaggy chic shag rug covered most of the tiled floor in the bathroom.
  • Two Additional Bedrooms - one of the bedrooms had a twin and double bed with ceiling fan, shuttered window, large closet, TV and 2 end tables with lamps and the other bedroom had a double bed, ceiling fan, TV, and private bathroom.
  • Third Bathroom - just off the entryway and close to the kitchen was another bathroom with a tub and shower
  • Washer and Dryer - the full size washer and dryer was convenient but we never found the time to use them and ended up at home with piles of dirty laundry!
  • Open Kitchen - the kitchen was open to the living area and included a bar with three rattan cushioned bar stools, a large refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher and marble top counters plus a pantry and lots of cabinets loaded with pots, pans, stoneware, glassware and silverware to cook gourmet meals for 8
  • Spacious Living and Dining Area - the living area had a glass top dining table that seats 6 on a tile floor with a cow skin rug below the table (made us Texans feel at home) plus a cabinet with a mirror, a table with drawers and a desk work area, a long leather “L” couch with matching ottomans that were perfect for relaxing in front of the large flat screen and big enough for 3 kids or a couple of adults to sleep on, 2 round chairs that rotate to face the TV, plus a small rattan love seat. Again, everything had an island or vacation look and feel and was very comfy.

One of our favorite features of our Peninsula Condominium was the large balcony off the living area and overlooking the green and water hazard of one of the golf course holes. The patio had a BBQ grill, table and chairs, plus a lounge chair. A perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, a cocktail in the evening watching fellow golfers try to avoid the sand and water leading the green and sink their putt on the sloping and undulating green. One afternoon, I actually snuck out on the course and tried several approach shots to the green - none of which made it and my family on the balcony was quietly snickering as two golf balls went in the water and one went in the sand!

But much better than the balcony are the 27 holes of excellent golf at The Peninsula. Each nine holes has a different personality and shot making opportunities, but common to all three are excellent conditions and first class service. We played two of the three nines and loved them - read our review of Peninsula's Lakes Course and the Cypress Course at Peninsula Golf Club to learn more about each of these nines. Foremost Property Management, who manages the Links & Racquet Club Condominiums at The Peninsula has put together an excellent stay and play package that can include: 18 holes of golf and cart per night stay, full breakfast each morning at the clubhouse, daily maid and linen service, and club storage and cleaning. Another option is to stay at Foremost Property Management's Cypress Point Condominiums which overlook one of the golf holes at the outstanding 36 hole Craft Farms Golf Club. We also enjoyed a stay in one of the other Foremost Property Management properties and here is a link to our review of Cypress Point Condominiums.

About half of The Peninsula's 800 acres is a nature preserve that is full of wildlife and walking trails. The Peninsula is bordered by the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge and there is a mile-long undisturbed stretch of sandy shore alongside beautiful Bon Secour Bay that is available to enjoy as a private getaway exclusively for Peninsula residents and guests. As a guest of The Peninsula Condominiums you also have access to a beautiful pool, lighted clay tennis courts, a fitness center, and the restaurant.

Bottom line - the Links & Racquet Club Condominiums at The Peninsula are prefect for a golfing or family vacation with comfortable and spacious lodging, an affordable stay and play package, convenient location, and excellent amenities including golf, tennis, swimming, dining, and more.
