Holiday Shores Resort - Perfect Golf Stay & Play Accommodations

Holiday Shores Resort Osage BeachDuring a fun golfing vacation to play some of the 13 golf courses on the Lake of the Ozarks Golf Trail, we spent three nights at Holiday Shores Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri and we loved it!

Holiday Shoresis a member of the Lake of the Ozarks Golf Council and they book Golf Trail Getaway Packages and they will help golfers plan their trip to the Lake of the Ozarks by booking tee times for them with great rates and discounted tee times. You choose which courses you want to play and the owners, Lori or Alan Piedt, will customize your trip for you. Lodging at Holiday Shores Resort

Cottage at Holiday Shores ResortHoliday Shores Resort has 25 spacious cottages that are quaintly situated in the woods overlooking a peaceful quiet cove on beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. Nine of the cottages are located lakeside, nine more are one level up, and the remaining seven are spread throughout the property.  Each of the individual 1600 square foot cottages are on wooded lots and they resemble a treehouse with three stories. The cottages have 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and will sleep 6 to 8 guests.

We were really impressed with our cottage – very spacious, clean and well maintained, well appointed, and comfortable.  There is parking for three cars just in front of the cottage and then a very short staircase down to the front door.  We were on the edge of the lake with beautiful view from our deck.

Next to the kitchen is a dining room with a table and 6 padded chairs. Off to the side of the dining room was a carpeted living area with a sleeper sofa, loveseat, small dresser for the TV, an end table with a lamp, and a small fireplace tucked into the corner.

On the main floor with the kitchen and living area is the  master bedroom with a king size bed and full bath with a double sink, tub/shower combination and a large closet plus a hair dryer and all the bathroom essentials you need like shampoo, conditioner, and bath lotion. The upstairs bedroom features a queen bed and a half bath and the downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and full bath and a private outdoor deck overlooking the lake.

Nearby Things To See & Do

As I mentioned, Holiday Shores is conveniently located near lots of fun things to see and do, some excellent restaurants, and fun bars with swimming pools on the lake, shops, and attractions.    Here are some of the fun things we did during our stay at Lake of the Ozarks included:

  • played six of the 13 Lake of the Ozarks Golf Trail courses and loved them all – click on this link to find reviews and ratings and pictures of the six Lake of the Ozark Golf Trail courses that we played
  • enjoyed a day on Lake of the Ozarks on a 27’ tritoon boat – beautiful scenery, stunning huge homes, some big fast boats, and fun lakeside restaurants/bars with pools
  • sampled some wine at the two wineries that we visited – Shawnee Bluff (sitting high on a bluff overlooking the lake, live music, a pool, plus a delicious frozen sangria slush) and we had a delightful lunch and sampled some nice wines at Seven Springs Winery (a great place to sip some local superb wines while sitting on a charming covered porch overlooking the spectacular Missouri Wine Country)
