Cliffs at Lake WhitneyLake Whitney Waterfront Lodging

Lake Whitney is one of our Top Ten Texas Lakes because it's very scenic with 100' white limestone cliffs and home to some great lodging, good camping, clear clean water, good fishing, boat rentals, and calm water without a lot of boat traffic. The lake is fed by the Brazos river, offering some of the best water in Texas for boarding, tubing, and skiing. Lake Whitney is 23,000 acres with 225 miles of shoreline

Lake Whitney has easy access from Waco, about 30 miles away, and Dallas which is about 90 minutes north. Several places rent boats for fishing, boarding, or just cruising the lake. Fishing is excellent for catfish and small, hybrid, and smallmouth bass and if you don't have a boat or rent one, you can hire a fishing guide.
