As I mentioned in our review of the 2017 Old Settler's Music Festival, the Festival is very kid friendly and you'll find lots of kids from 7 months to 17 enjoying the music, camping, and kids activities. Old Settler's wants them to grow up enjoying music and hopefully keep the vibe and music festival going for the next several decades and maybe even be a headliner!
And the vast majority of the kids seem to love the music - If they can hear it through those head phones.
Those without heads phones love to dance, get close to the front of the stage, and really seem to be young music lovers! But cutest of all was the small bull legged pot bellied cute little boy who consistently over the 4 days ran from mommy and daddy to the front of the stage to dance to the music or just stand right in front of the stage and sway back and forth and clap to the music like he's doing with his sister in the bottom right pictures. .
Old Setter's Music Festival has lots of fun things for kids to do ranging from bull riding to bounce houses, a petting zoo, pony rides, games, slides, playgrounds, and face painting.
A large part of what makes Old Settler's Music Festival one of the best festivals in Texas are the fans that attend the festival. They are friendly, helpful, outgoing, love to dance, and are out to have a good time and enjoy some excellent music. The average age is probably around 35 to 40 and you'll find everything from hippies (both old and new) to oil executives. Here is a sampling of some of the music fans:
And if you were at the Festival, you know why I ended with a picture of this guy. He hitchhiked from Portland, Oregon to the Festival and he was always up at the front of the stage free style dancing!
