In addition to over 50 great singer songwriters, camping, and lots of good times part of what makes Larry Joe Taylor's Texas Music Festival fun are the 50,000 fans. This year the music started on Monday and as the week progressed the fans got a little younger and a little rowdier. For example:
On Tuesday the fans enjoy the music in the grass in lawn chairs but as the week progresses the younger crowd is pressed shoulder to shoulder in front of the Bubo Light Stage. :
What great people watching, you'll see a little bit of everything: Lots of fans come in a variety of interesting outfits. One of the band member even got into it and the crowd when wild!
But my favorite had to be this guy who after an afternoon rain had turned part of the stage area into a mud pit decided to go mud surfing - he got a running start, leaped off of his feet, and went sliding in the mud on belly! The fans loved it!
And if you like to dance, there is plenty of it at Larry Joe Taylor's Music Festival
At a Larry Joe Festival, you've got to bring plenty of beer and then get it from your car or campsite to the festival and you'll see all sorts of creative ways to do that - from hand carrying it to custom built trailers that also function as seats to a wheelchair to a suitcase!
If you're coming to Larry Joe Taylor's Music Festival, you got to rent, buy, or borrow something to camp with - a tent, travel trailer, motorhome, back of a van, or a friends RV. Camping is a large part of the LJT music festival experience - the campground is always alive with games, music around the campfire until the wee hours of the morning, good fun, laughter, and more.
