A Magical Getaway At The Alexander At Creek Road

We decided to head to Dripping Springs for four days and someone recommended that we stay at . After checking out their website, reading some of the reviews, and seeing their motto ("A Boutique Hotel with Beautiful Hill Country Vacation Rentals in Dripping Springs - Texas with an elegant flair!") we called and booked a two-day stay. And we loved it - the owners are great folks; the lodging was unique, clean, and very comfortable; it seems like you're isolated in the country with dark star filled skies, beautiful sunsets and sunrises; it's very peaceful and quiet: and it's easy to get to the restaurants, wineries, breweries, and other things to see and do in Dripping Springs.

The Alexander at Creek Road is located on 40 gentle rolling aces of beautiful ranch land about 7 miles west of downtown Dripping Springs. Make sure that you take Creek Road to or from Dripping Springs at least once - it's a very beautiful and scenic drive along the creek and past ranches and pastures. When you go through the gate into The Alexander at Creek Road, you'll notice an amazing metal sculpture of a wild stallion followed by a wooden water tower and a small pond and a beautiful property littered with majestic sprawling ancient oak trees. You'll start to sense that you're in for a special treat - and you won't be disappointed!

Upon arrival at The Alexander at Creek Road, we met the owners Matt and Michelle (two of the nicest people you'll every meet and committed to making sure you have an enjoyable stay) and they gave us a tour of the various lodging options. Everything we saw was superb (well appointed, cozy, clean, and very unique!) but when we were shown the treehouse complex and it's four cottages which are supported by a massive sprawling oak tree, we both knew that we wanted to stay in one of those. We were shown all four of the Treehouse Suites but as soon as we stepped into the Mack Treehouse Suite we immediately fell in love with it..

The Mack is at the highest level of the Treehouse and you walk up two flights of stairs, pass through a very cool deck, and down a small walkway to get to the front door. When we opened the door, the first thing that grabbed me was the stunning view of the pasture and a huge branch of the tree that supports the suites and deck - the windows did a fantastic job of letting the outside in. The Mack is compact but was really cool and comfortable thanks to:Treehouse suite at The Alexander at Creek Road a country comfort feeling with a fun use of colors and accents plus shiplap wood walls, raised white washed beamed ceiling, and wood flooring throughout

Deck at The Alexander at Creek RoadWe spent several hours on the deck which has a huge tree growing out of the middle of it plus two benches. It's perfect for coffee, cool breezes, birds chirping, and beautiful sunrises in the morning. One night when we came home we couldn't resist a final night cap on the deck and we were amazed with the sky full of twinkling stars and how quiet it was, except for the crickets chirping, an owl hooting, and an occasional moo from a cow. I was tempted to move our bed out onto the deck! Below the deck was a sitting area with chairs, a dart board, and a gas BBQ grill.

The Alexander at Creek Road is perfect for a weekend getaway or staycation, but it's also great for a wedding, reunion, party, or corporate event - and they can sleep up to forty guests! For groups or wedding, WindSong Barn is a unique climate-controlled indoor venue for up to 200 guests and it's loaded with charm! Hardwood floors and beautiful candeliers and lanterns grace the ballroom area, which has multiple sliding doors and views from every window. A large porch with ceiling fans overlook an open lawn and a large open air pavilion.

We had a blast exploring Dripping Springs and loved our unique treehouse suite - we can't wait to come back again! Thanks to Michelle and Matt for being the perfect host and hostess!
