You can’t claim you’re a Texan until you’ve gone horseback riding in Texas , nor is your vacation to Texas complete unless you have rented a horse or taken a trail ride – so get with it! Today’s state parks give modern Texas equestrians the opportunity to follow in the hoof prints of early conquistadors, Indians, colonists, and cowboys. The parks offer horseback riders some of the best scenery in Texas. Nine parks have equestrian camping and riding facilities, and four more have riding trails for day-use only.
