A ropes or challenge course is both a fun, exciting and challenging outdoor that is typically used for personal development and or team building. Most courses consist of high and low elements. Low elements take place on the ground or just a few feet above the ground while high elements are usually constructed in trees, platforms, or utility poles and require a belay for satiety reasons.
There are several challenge courses in Texas which offer a variety of challenges including zip lines, high and low rope courses, rappelling and climbing walls. Cypress Valley Canopy Challenge takes you through a series of zip lines, sky bridges, and multiple canopy challenge events ranging from moderately to extremely difficult. Some of the 11 challenge elements include a variety of swings (log, pendulum, Tarzan), a superman 400' zip line, wobbly bridge, and the famous hourglass (two ropes on top and one on the bottom which reverse in mid course 40' above ground!).
