San Antonio is one of the main tourist attractions in Texas because of all the fun things to see and do. Here is Texas Outside's list of the Top Ten Things To See and Do In San Antonio:

  • Play Tourist - park the car and walk to all of the San Antonio tourist sites such as The Alamo, enjoy the music or other events at the Main Plaza, attend one of the annual festivals like the ten Fiesta San Antonio, spend some time at the Children's Museum or the San Antonio Museum of Art, and visit Hemisphere Park which was home to the 1968 World's Fair
  • Golf Golfing - San Antonio has some of the best golf courses in Texas and lots of choices to meet your skill level and budget constraints - our favorites include La Canter's Resort Course, Hyatt Hill Country Lakes Course, Silverhorn, and nearby Olympic Hills - you can quickly locate a San Antonio golf course and read a review of the course by using this San Antonio Golf Course Locator Map
  • Walk the River Walk - you have to experience the River Walk at least once - walk along both sides, jump on the water taxi and tour the river, have a margarita and appitizer at a table on the water and watch the crowd mingle by, eat at any of the restaurants that have outdoor seating along the river, and end the evening at one of the bars that line the River Walk (Dicks Last Resort is fun)
  • Spend a Weekend Exploring the City - stay at a neat B&B that is located in the heart of downtown an on the riverwalk (Inn on the River Walk); or choose of of several hotels that are right on the banks of the River Walk; or park the RV at Travelers World RV Park, which is only 5 miles from downtown, and take the toad or bus to downtown; or spend the weekend at on of the best Texas Spas & Resorts, either the Hyatt Hill Country or La Cantera
  • Explore a Mission - San Antonio is home to the largest concentrations of missions in the United States and you can learn a lot history as you explore the missions
