Here are some select upcoming fun Texas events - carnivals, festivals, music concerts, rodeos, chili cookoffs, and more - to get on your calendar. These Texas festivals and events are typically multi-day events with lots of fun things to keep you and the kids entertained. Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo
Great live music including Miranda Lambert and all that a stock show and rodeo has to offer.
Fulton Oyster Fest
This fun filled weekend  includes men and women's raw oyster eating contests, oyster shucking contest, live music, parade on Saturday, carnival, arts & crafts booths, food booths, beer garden and more.
Big Nac Music Festival
Don't miss this festival with 40 bands across multiple genres, including country, rock, bluegrass, tejano, and blues will descend upon Nacogdoches to kick off this festival season. All venues will be within walking distance of each other with many other activities.
North Texas Irish Festival
Three day festival celebrating Celtic music, dance, food and beverage. Live music on 13 stages; Urchin Street kids area, horse demos and activities; culinary demos, craft beer sampling, whiskey tasting and much more.
Border Fest
Live music, hundreds of performers, culture expo, arts & crafts, rides, games, parades, food, shows and more.
Sweetwater Rattlesnake Round-up
Snake Charmer Pageant, bus tours, carnival, and guided snake hunts will be offered is all a part of this annual event.
South By Southwest
Evenings are devoted to the SXSW Music Festival, which showcases over 2000 acts from unsigned hopefuls to rising major label acts and Sunday is capped off with a Texas-styled barbecue and softball tournament
Texas Ranger Day
Celebrate with the Annie Maud Avis Memorial Fajita and Bean cook-off and experience Texas Ranger Camp life in the 1880's, folk life demonstrations, crafts  and tours of the Railroad Depot, as well as Burton Farmer's Cotton Gin Tours.
Murphy's St Patricks Day River Parade & Festival
San Antonio
Enjoy live music on Arneson Stage, and a family-friendly festival of food, games, activities in the 2.5 mile river and more in La Villita from 12pm-6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo
This non profit contributes over $1.5 million annually to the youth of Texas. Also you will enjoy music, fair, rodeo and all the shows that fairs provide.
Owl Prowl Night Hike
The family is invited to see a live owl presentation and then go on a guided night hike through the sanctuary trails.
St Patrick's Day Festival
This is Austin's best Irish celebration with a commitment to Irish culture and great Irish singers and dancers.
Heart of Texas Rockfest
In its 15th year more than 200 indie acts in several nightclubs and bars and also on their enormous downtown outdoor stages will be yours to enjoy. 
Rio Frio Fest
This is a festival of fun for you to enjoy with some of the greatest acts in Texas Music with performances from Bri Bagwell, Cody Johnson, Whiskey Myers, Kyle Park, and more you are guaranteed to have a great time.
Nederland Festival
This is a six-day block party with every civic organization involved and are the last free festival in Southeast Texas. Every night there is a different type of music, from Cajun, R&B, and country, to rock and roll.
Lady Bird Johnson's Artist & Artisan's Festival
This festival showcases the work of more than 20 American artists in beads, watercolor, metal, glass and other media.
South Texas State Fair

A rodeo, art, quilt, and photo contests, youth animal auction, boat show, and more all put on by the Young Men's Business League of Beaumont.
Southwest International Boat Show
League City
This is the largest in-water Boat Show in the Southwest and the premier show for new and pre-owned vessels. This event on Clear Lake features both freshwater and saltwater boats ready for boarding and viewing.
Austin Urban Music Festival
Enjoy the tenth anniversary of great music at Auditorium Shores.
Outlaws & Legends
Celebrate Texas Independence Day at the 5th Annual Outlaws and Legends at the Back Porch of Texas. Voted in the top 5 "Festivals of the Year".
Bluegrass, Bluebonnets, and Barbecue
What better place to enjoy bluegrass, bluebonnets and bbq than at a vineyard. Becker Vineyard is hosting its 4th annual festival. Bring your camp chairs and enjoy.


April Events & Festivals

Ropes Course Adventure Day
An individual or group can come out to enjoy the challenge course which will include 3 High Rope Elements, Team Power Pole, Bessie's Tree Climb, a zip line, and the low rope elements.
Main Street Arts Festival
Ft Worth
Stretching for nine blocks on Main Street this annual event showcases a nationally recognized fine art and fine craft juried art fair, live concerts, performance artists and street performers on the streets of downtown Fort Worth.
Pearland Crawfish Festival
They are back in a new location, serving even more hot, fresh crawfish at a great price, along with the best of Cajun dishes and classic festival fare. They will be bringing out more this year: more food - including more Cajun food, more vendors, more activities, more carnival rides, and more fun! And, of course, live music.
Poteet Strawberry Festival
This is recognized as one of the oldest and most popular events in the state. The Festival stages 12 areas of continuous family entertainment, featuring outdoor concerts with nationally known country/western and Tejano stars in addition to two nightly dances plus strawberry judging and auction, various contests, special children's entertainment, rodeo performances, and quality exhibits.
Bluebonnet Festival
This fun filled event has activities for all ages to enjoy including a carnival, 5K Run, arts and crafts vendors, the Highland Lakes Air Show, destruction derby and a huge parade, plus live music throughout the festival.
Galveston County Rodeo
Festivities include a carnival, live music with Kevin Fowler, the Spazmatics and more, livestock shows, auction, rodeo events, a parade, trail ride, talent show, jackpot bullriding, jackpot barrel racing, petting zoo, pony rides, and an arts and crafts show.
Montgomery County Fair
This event has a little bit of something for everyone. Bring the whole family to enjoy the competitions, concerts, exhibits, carnival and much, much more! Each year, new attractions and events are added, so you never know what you might find!

Stone Valley Music Festival #1
Johnson City
Bring your family for a fun filled day in the Texas Hill Country listening to some great music at the 1st of 7 outdoor festivals at this new beautiful venue. Besides listening to Doug Stone and others there will be a washer tournament, food, drinks and more.

This is a fundraiser which features the live band, the Stringbenders. The event includes dinner, dancing, games, activities, and all proceeds go to the Good Samaritan Gabriel Project. 

Backstreet Bash
This is a large community event with vendors, crafts, food, demonstrations, kids activities, live music, and much more.
San Antonio Highland Games & Celtic Music Festival

Along with the games there will be featured a wide variety of Celtic music playing on three stages throughout the weekend. Many such performances feature fiddling, harp, Celtic bands and other forms of musical entertainment.
Old Settlers Music Festival
This is a Central Texas' signature music event featuring Grammy award-winning Americana, arts and crafts, camping, food & libations. Roots music and more-- bluegrass, old-time, jamgrass, folk, gospel, local faves & award-winning artists from around the world. Late night jams around the campfires are a special highlight as well as swimming in beautiful Onion Creek that surrounds the campground.

Austin Reggae Festival
Go to Auditorium Shores for top-quality world music, arts & crafts, ethnic food, and premium people watching.
Larry Joe Taylor Music Festival
One of our favorite festivals seems to just get bigger and better every year. The list of entertainers is amazing, the crowds are entertaining, the food choices from the vendors is great, and nothing is better than close camping and BYOB.
Arbor Daze
This event will feature live entertainment, food concessions, arts, crafts and business booths, the award-winning Arbor Dazzling Kidz Zone, forestry demonstrations, a kiddie carnival, library activities and the legendary Arbor Daze free tree giveaway.
Katy Jazz Fest
You will not want to miss out on this GREAT weekend of Live Jazz and Art! The Katy Jazz Festival is once again proud to offer world renown professional jazz artists, student jazz groups, and professional visual artworks.
San Marcos
This event has become a platform for local and regional indie artists to showcase their talent in a live and exciting atmosphere.
Features two days of concerts by national and regional recording artists. Kevin Fowler and Wade Bowen plus many more performers, plus rodeo, food, and family fun.
Austin Food & Wine Festival
Partake in the first ever by joining top chef talent, sommeliers and winemakers from across the nation and Austin's own acclaimed gourmet scene for an indulgent, two-day epicurean adventure unlike any other, topped off with live performances by Lucinda Williams and Mayer Hawthorne & The County.
Red Poppy Festival
A Georgetown and Central Texas tradition, the Red Poppy Festival is a time to enjoy family and friends, music, food, and fun with live music, car show, bike ride, arts and more.
Denton Jazz Festival
Its a free annual three-day arts in the park featuring the best in professional jazz and cross-cultural music on three stages. Come hear the sounds, experience the art and taste the flavors. Over 2,700 performers on seven stages, fine arts and crafts, children's art activities and food and games make up the event.
German Fest
This three-day festival attracts thousands to mouthwatering German sausage, scrumptious apple strudel, hearty cheeses and homemade bread, cakes and pies. So, come to Muenster and let us be your host for food, fun and frolic.
Wild, Wild West Fest
What more do you want than tractor pulls, carnival, shows, live music, food, bbq & steak cook-offs and dutch oven cook-off.
Texas Crawfish & Music Festival
This is the 29th year for the largest and most established Crawfish Festival in the South and a favorite annual event for Houstonians and tourists alike. The festival features live entertainment on three stages along with carnival rides, midway games, exhibitions and activities for kids of all ages.
Port Aransas
Not only will there be master sand scultors from around the world as well as amateurs, but there also be live music, food vendors, and sand sculpting lessons.
Bow Dazzling Pancake Breakfast and Silent Auction
Guests will enjoy a delicious breakfast, bake sale, bow making corner, and an exciting silent auction. There mission is to provide bows and headbands to young girls undergoing treatment for cancer and other serious medical conditions to give them encouragement and confidence. Texas Crawfish & Music Festival
This is the 29th year for the largest and most established Crawfish Festival in the South and a favorite annual event for Houstonians and tourists alike. Texas Crab Festival

This festival in its 30th year features a Crab Gumbo Cookoff and a boatload of fun events like a Crab Legs Contest, Two-Step Dance Contest, Weiner Dog Races, Crab Races and a 5K Fun Run. Plus a full lineup of bands.
Vintage Car Festival
Come to this family friendly free festival in your cool rides and enjoy this event. Fill out the entry form to have your vehicle judged.
Spring Night Hike
Explore the thrilling sights, sounds, and smells of night life at the Heard Museum. Try to spot the animals and learn about them from the Heard trail guides.
Homers Backyard Ball
Just 16 years ago this began as a small backyard party and has grown to a history making event that is now a benefit for Make-A-Wish. So, mark the event on your calendar or phone and join them for the best party of the year.
