These Texas festivals and events are typically multi-day events with lots of fun things to keep you and the kids entertained. Taos Ski Valley
Be at Michael's 12th annual Festival showcasing world-class songwriters and musicians at one of northern New Mexico's most beloved musical events. You will be surrounded by cool alpine beauty at the base of New Mexico's highest peaks.
West Texas Fair and Rodeo
An old fashioned county fair with children's activities, entertainment, livestock and horse shows, carnival rides, exhibits, rodeo, a wide variety of food and other events.
In downtown Historic Grapevine this 28th annual festival will allow wine lovers the opportunity to sample premium Texas, Washington, and wines from 3 regions of Italy.
The Sky's the Limit Balloon Spectacular
This is the third annual family friendly event will have a balloon show, live entertainment as well as a thriller air show.
Tri-State Fair and Rodeo
Not only do you have a fair and rodeo to go to but Randy Rodgers is headling this fair.
Texas State Forest Festival
The events include children's festival, lumberjack show, contest, carnival, giveaways, and much more.
Rhymes & Vines

Lone Star Le Mans
This is a celebration with racing, live music, and fun fan events.
Plano Balloon Festival
This festival has been making family memories for years with an action packed weekend of skydivers, hot air balloons, concerts, a huge kid's fun zone, merchandise vendors, corporate exhibitors and variety of foods. Join the fun!
MOJO Challenge
More Obstacles, Just Obstacles! MOJO Challenge is a "pure" 1-2 mile obstacle racing competition in which participants scale over a demanding set of challenges. We have taken out the mud-pits and tedious distance running of traditional obstacle race for this very different course.
Hot Sauce Festival
Besides the showcase for award winning products such as hot sauce, salsa, marinades, rubs, wing sauce, pickled products, jams/jellies, dips there will be music, children's booths, and more.
Fajita Fiesta
Come to this family friendly event with free admission, free parking and free concerts and in addition there will be food booths, venders, games, a jalapeno eating contest, talent show, mariachi groups, arts and crafts.
Texas Heritage Music Day
There will be a presentation of over 50 performers and demonstrators gathered together to honor the songwriter Jimmie Rodgers on the campus of Schreiner University from 9-1:30. In addition, Terri Hendrix and Lloyd Maines will perform at a free community concert honoring the songwriter at 7:30 p.m.
McKinney Oktoberfest
This family favorite, offers German music, food and drink, traditional costumes, dancing, children’s activities throughout 14 blocks of McKinney's Historic Square.
Galveston Island Wild Texas Shrimp Festival
Activities will include a Shrimp Gumbo Cook-Off & Gumbo Tasting, Boat & RV Show, Fun Run, Lil’ Shrimps Parade, Live Music, Vendors, Kids Area and a Strand Merchant Walk-About! What more could you ask for??
State Fair of Texas

This year the Fair has selected Deep in the Heart of Texans as its theme for this year’s exposition. “For generations, the State Fair of Texas has been the destination to bring all Texans together". Don't miss visiting Big Tex and all that this Fair has to offer.
Shiner Music Fest
With Hal Ketchem headlining and Micky and the Motorcars co-heading this FREE event couldn't offer more fun. Enjoy lots of music, food vendors, and lots of activities including a cigar experience that will have complimentary liquor samplings.
The Old Pecan Street Festival
Three stages with music from noon to 10:00 and hundreds of local and national artisans offering original handcrafted creations in a variety of mediums. There will also be 30 food vendors offering healthy and otherwise food choices.
Texas Reds Steak and Grape Festival
The 8th annual festival features the best local and regional bands with six music stages located throughout Downtown Bryan on Saturday and Sunday plus a lot of shopping throughout downtown Bryan. The wineries will also be there to help you choose your favorite wine.
