Keep in mind that something may have changed since this review was completed - conditions may have been upgraded or may have deteriorated, rates most likely have gone up, water levels gone down, and lots of other things may have changed. Our intent is to give you an overview to help you select a place to stay, have a general idea of what you're getting into. You should talk to the property owners/mangers and check out the website before you leave.

We rate rentals on a 1 to 10 scale (5 is average, 10 is perfect) based on the following:

  • location - proximity to the lake, ease of getting to the rental or resort by boat and car, and the general area
  • staffing and service - is the staff helpful, friendly, and dedicated to making your stay pleasurable. If the rental is a house, we base this rating on talking to or from meeting the owner
  • nearby activities - when you stay here, what's nearby to see and do and are there some good places to eat and party
  • cleanliness and attention to detail - the place doesn't have to be immaculate, but we would like it neat and clean
  • condition - is everything brand new or was it built in the 20's and has been heavily used since then
  • amenities - outside of a bed for sleeping, what else is there to keep us busy on the property
  • beauty - do we have view of the lake or the back of a building
  • peace and quite - are we communicating with nature or listening to big rigs cruising the freeway and trains going up and down the tracks
  • rates and value - is this rental going to cost us a years salary or is it a real bargain - for what you get is it a good value or a rip off
  • how equipped - how well equipped is this lake rental - if appropriate, does it have knives and forks, coffee maker, phone, TV, pots & pans, linens, soap, and other creature comforts or just a small bar of soap, no towels, and one pillow
