Crown Colony Country Club Review - Lufkin - a semi-private country club Crown Colony has 13 Villas that are available for rent for a weekend or longer. The Villas were completely renovated in 2005with all new furniture, carpets, and more. They will sleep four and are perfect for a small family, golfing buddies or close friends who don't mind sharing a bedroom. We found the Villas to be comfortable, very clean, nicely appointed, and well furnished. |

Rayburn Country Resort Review- Jasper - Nested among the tall pines and gently rolling hills of east Texas about a mile from the south shoreline of beautiful Lake Sam Rayburn is Rayburn Country Resort. The resort has a laid back and east Texas friendly attitude, is not too expensive, and offers a variety of accommodations if you're looking for an weekend escape, a hunting or fishing trip, a family vacation, a wedding venue, a perfect place for a reunion or corporate retreat, or a fun golf outing with your buddies. |

Waterwood National Resort Review - Lake Livingston - As of 2009 Waterwood is temporarily closed awaiting new management. Waterwood is in the heart of East Texas, Waterwood National Resort and Golf Course is out in the country with clean air, tall pine trees, and plenty of outdoor activities.
Accommodations are in oversized cabanas next to the club house with patios and balconies overlooking the golf course and two small ponds. The Forest Lodge rooms which are a bit more secluded and about 1 1/2 miles from the club house overlook a pond & swimming pool. |
